Phoenix Rising Recovery is an addiction treatment facility in Palm Desert, California that's dedicated to helping clients rise above their past trauma and addictions into happier, healthier lives. We are currently looking for Resident Aids to join our team for our MENS ONLY Residential Program!
This position is responsible for providing direct service to clients, and for facilitating the smooth day-to-day operation of the program. This position collaborates as a member of the multidisciplinary team (Treatment Team) to deliver effective treatment.

- Must be available weekends and holidays.

Assist with intakes and discharges as needed, orient new clients to the facilityConduct room checks, searches, personal searches and belongings upon admission, routinely and randomlyConduct scheduled roundsMaintain appropriate boundaries with clientsReview treatment plan goals with clients regularlyEnsure clients attend all scheduled groups, and therapy sessionsEnforce and monitor client phone usage according to company policySupport clients in accessing community resourcesAssist clients in maintenance of prescribed medicationProvide effective crisis interventionTeach independent living skills effectivelyProvide information and conduct shift reports (verbally and in the communication log) to staff during shift transitionTransport and supervise clients to outside meetings and other appointments.Support team members when a crisis occursPrepare and facilitate groups as assignedManage program to ensure clients feels safe and secureEnsure completion of household chores by clientsManage visitation hours and monitor visitors according to company policyAdminister drug and alcohol screenings on clientsEnsure facility is clean, safe and in compliance with all accreditation and licensing requirementsComplete all charts, program documentation, medication management, incident reports and other forms / reports are completed according to company policiesMaintain a consistent, and open channel of communication with the Program Director and Clinical DirectorOther specific program duties as assignedQualifications
Currently registered with CCAPP required. (RADT, etc.)At least 18 years of age.High School graduate or possess a GED. Coursework in counseling, psychology, or social work a plusOne year full-time experience working directly with clients in a program serving people with substance use.Knowledge of and belief in the principles of client centered treatment. Knowledge of medications and interventions.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player. Pre-Employment Requirements
Hiring is contingent upon completion of a Background Check, TB test, and clearance on a drug screen and pre-employment physical. Current First Aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain upon hire.For the mental health and eating disorder programs additional requirements include receiving DOJ / FBI fingerprint clearance or an exemption and a submission of a signed Criminal Record Statement (LIC 508).Renewal Health Group requires employees to be vaccinated with exceptions only as required by law (i.e. medical or religion).
