Definition :
The Training Coordinator is responsible for training new and current employees in Renewal, Inc.’s Security department and various departments within the organization. The training plans and content will be consistent with Renewal’s policies, procedures, and contract requirements. This individual will work closely with the human resources, security, and management teams to develop instructional material, coordinate educational content, and incorporate current technology into each training. This material should provide a structured training program for Security department staff as well as train non-security staff on basic security procedures and the functions of the Security department in the overall organization. The individual will train and observe employees on the job until training is complete. The Training Coordinator will also coordinate external training resources to meet the needs of all Renewal, Inc. employees and assist with Security department recruitment efforts.

Education and / or Experience :
Individual must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills; must be able to work as a team member as well as independently. Individual must possess a high level of personal ethical standards and pride in accomplishment. Demonstrated ability to organize and supervise; work effectively and efficiently will all levels of management; must be a self-starter, motivated and must be able to adapt to changing technology; Proven skills in problem-solving as well as research and computer skills necessary. Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching, and instruction for individuals and groups is a must.
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 years’ of related experience required. Supervisory experience is preferred. Experience working in a security capacity within a correctional facility is preferred.
