- Develops, coordinates and implements research-based coaching strategies for Teachers and education staff of infants, toddlers, and preschool aged Head Start children.
- Observes, provides feedback, and models effective teaching practices to promote high quality early education classrooms.
- Ensures teacher-child interactions and instruction are responsive, intentional and developmentally appropriate.
- Ensures children are provided socially supportive, organized, and instructionally meaningful interactions to support their development and learning.
- Will ensure coaching strategies align with school readiness goals, the curriculum, and program performance goals.
- Establishes and implements a systematic approach to staff training and professional development for education staff focusing on effective curricula implementation, knowledge of the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework, partnering with families, supporting children with disabilities, providing effective and nurturing adult-child interactions, addressing challenging behaviors, preparing children and families for transitions, and use of data to individualize learning experiences to improve outcomes for children.
- Work with teaching staff to write professional development plans to effectively support staff in areas of need or interest.
- Coordinates other training opportunities for Center-Based and Home-Based staff based on the annual Training Plan.
- Assists in developing policies and on-going monitoring of program quality.
Salary Range: $54,500 to $60,172/year.
