Position Purpose : Provide quality patient care along with scheduling and supervision of local COTA(s)
Key Responsibilities :
Implement, execute, and establish a thorough and efficient treatment plan Evaluate / asses’ patients and create an accurate plan of care Communicate with patient, families, referring physicians, and other team members Provide timely and accurate documentation per facility and department requirements Support and participate in department operations and development Report any changes in patient status or needs, on a timely basis Provide written documentation as required by insurance provider to meet licensing, certification, regulatory, and reimbursement requirements Associated Responsibilities :
Prepare and submit patient charges accurately to provide appropriate billing information Use professional judgement to ensure safety of self, patients, and others at all times Achieve quality patient care through interdisciplinary communication Attend meetings, in-services, training sessions, and educational presentations as designated Communicate with therapists and assistants concerning patients’ response to treatment Maintain valid licensure, certification or equivalent as requested by appropriate agency Maintain awareness of patient and community needs, conditions, and programs Qualifications :
Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy curriculum CPR certification and in good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards Working knowledge of Medicare and other payer sources Full knowledge of resident’s rights and exude professionalism in presentation Must be able to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English Physical Requirements :
Must be able to lift over 100 pounds with assistance according to the resident’s abilities Must be able to move intermittently / walk for extended periods of time Travel to assigned destination in a reasonable time frame with reliable (insured) transport Must be able to bend, squat, push, and pull as needed in fulfilling patient care activities Must be able to meet the general health requirements set forth by the contract, including undergoing physical examination Job Types : Full-time, Part-time, Contract
