SUMMARY:
To help knitters and fixers find machines that are making defects and have it corrected.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Check socks for defects through each line assigned, machine by machine
- Flag machine if defects found, by marking defective area with washable marker and placing on machine.
- Record defects by type and machine number on clip board form at end of lines
- Notify supervisor of a repeated defect on the same machine
- Make sure face card information and yarn matches machine style
- Turn in paperwork at end of shift
- Use sock stick provided to retrieve socks from funnels during checks when needed
- Keep continuous checking until designated break times
- Other duties assigned by management are a part of this job description
- Adhere to company policies, including attendance and punctuality
- Communicate with co-workers, management and others in a courteous and professional manner;
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions including but not limited to confidentiality requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
- Basic education in reading, writing & mathematics
- Good communication skills and work well with others
- Basic knowledge of computer
- Basic knowledge of defects common in socks
