What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bench Operator position at RENK America?
Responsibilities:
- Use simple drawings, verbal or written orders and instructions to perform deburring operations.
- Use various hand tools such as files, emery and crocus cloth, portable power grinder, deburring and brush machines to remove burrs, keyway widths, repair tapped holes, break edges, scrape pit marks and clean parts.
- Stamp part number, catalogue number and company name on part using tools provided.
- Repair defective plating. Remove grind and shave marks and blend and/or repair finished diameters.
- Perform visual check of part for quality of part and work.
- Monitor quality of own work and report to supervisor defective material, unusual conditions and operating difficulties.
- Maintain required time, production and quality records
- Maintain work areas and equipment used in a clean and orderly condition.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures
