The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing and improving mechanical systems and components. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that mechanical systems meet performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness standards.
Essential Functions
- Create designs and layouts of test benches and gearboxes in 3D with Siemens NX.
- Design of test bench structures and creation of variant designs.
- Perform engineering calculations and simulations to validate designs.
- Calculate and selection of machine elements and hydraulic components.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers, designers, and other team members to integrate mechanical systems with electronic and software systems.
- Coordinate and facilitate communication with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure clarity.
- Conduct prototypes, testing, and validation to ensure product functionality and performance.
- Identify and resolve mechanical design issues and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation and reports.
- Participate in project planning, including defining scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 6 years of prior related experience or Master's Degree with 4 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to work effectively in both independent and diverse team environments.
- 3D design with Siemens NX.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to develop practical engineering soluctions for difficult problems.
