The Program Finance Specialist is an entry level position that will support the financial management and reporting of various programs within our organization.
Essential Functions
- Provide financial recaps to Project Managers (PMs)
- Support transmissions / engines by preparing and analyzing estimate at completions (EACs) for all project components including revenues, direct costs for all projects (top and bottom line)
- Assist with developing and reporting of program budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Completes material estimation and compiles cost estimation for bids and proposals
- Ensure compliance with contractual reporting requirements
- Provide financial assistance for both incoming and outgoing business activities, ensuring financial health and LOB strategic alignment.
- Collaborate with program teams to track expenditures and identify areas for cost savings
- Maintain financial records and documentation in accordance with organizational standards
- Monitors program adherence to approved budget.
- Perform analysis and prepare reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agree-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Program Management with 0-3 years minimum experience.
- Associates Degree in Finance, Accounting or Program Management with a minimum of 4 years prior related experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Team player; strong interpersonal, communication (verbal/written), and organizational skills.
- Prior experience with FAR/DFARs, TINA, CAS, Earned Value and other US Government contracting requirements.
- Previous experience in cost estimating or proposal preparation.
- Experience with cost-reimbursable, multi-year engineering development programs.
- Experience with defense contracting in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Infor Visual Manufacturing (VM), Visual Enterprise (VE).
