What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler position at Renk Corporation?
Summary/Objective The assembler is responsible for the assembly of RENK products where procedures and methods are prescribed.
Essential Functions
- Performs processes to complete assemblies and subassemblies from drawings and/or written specifications, using hand tools and power tools.
- Operates fork lift as required.
- Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Responsible for quality checks of completed assemblies.
- May be required to pick and pack orders for spare parts as specified.
- Completes other tasks as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is also regularly required to use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and move up to 60 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for a total of forty (40) hours.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years’ assembly experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Prefer experience with hand tools.
- Prefer experience with material handling.
- Prefer experience with shipping/receiving.
