Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. Duties
- Perform custodial duties including cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming to ensure all surfaces are clean and well-maintained.
- Carry out industrial cleaning tasks in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with residential painting projects as needed to maintain the aesthetic appearance of facilities.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; report any shortages or maintenance needs promptly.
- Ensure proper disposal of waste materials in compliance with environmental standards.
- Provide porter services by assisting in the movement of furniture or equipment when necessary.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance practices and procedures.
- Experience in custodial work within commercial or industrial settings is preferred.
- Proficiency in floor care techniques including buffing and polishing.
- Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and facility occupants.
