VDI Contractor is responsible for engineering, delivering, supporting, and securing our clients virtual desktop solutions. This project role is focusing on deploying Amazon Workspaces and integrating it into a corporate environment.

Duties :

• Collaborate with internal support, operations, and engineering teams to gather requirements, build, and deploy tools; provide technical leadership in developing, integrating, and testing the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
• Contribute to the organization's technology plan, ensuring seamless integration of specific technologies with the network security infrastructure; work effectively with various technology teams and vendors to deliver comprehensive networking solutions.
• Design, test, and modify the VDI environment based on capacity and utilization requirements; troubleshoot and resolve system and network faults or outages; stay updated on industry trends and deliver technology and products on schedule with the highest quality.
• Provide tier 1-3 support during implementation and hypercare.
• Apply and adhere to IT security standards in the development and design of new and existing technologies within corporate and store infrastructure.
• Maintain a high degree of decision impact due to system privileges and responsibilities.
• Analyze and refine system design, configuration, hardware, software, and associated utilities across the corporate computing and unified communications infrastructure.
• Administer, support, and maintain solution components; troubleshoot high-level hardware and software issues and document procedures for resolution.
• Develop processes to ensure all corporate computing runs on approved, current, and supported OS / firmware versions and configurations.
• Provide work effort and duration estimates for projects to team leads and project managers.
• Prevent undocumented configuration changes and create audit reports to identify and remediate non-standard configurations.
• Manage inventory and assets of the infrastructure.
• Follow production support models and processes to enhance response times and maintain high availability of all production infrastructure components and systems.

Basic Qualifications :

Preferred knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code concept
