Location: Coachella Valley region (within a 90 minute commute of Rancho Mirage)

Are you a real estate broker with a passion for leadership and delivering exceptional client experiences? rennie is growing in California, and is seeking a California Responsible Broker to oversee brokerage operations, coach realtors (we call them Advisors) and transaction managers, and ensure adherence to the highest standards of regulatory compliance. In this pivotal role, you will provide expert guidance on complex transactions, foster a culture of growth and excellence among our team, and act as a key liaison with the California Department of Real Estate (DRE) and industry associations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides brokerage operational leadership acting as one of the designated licensees responsible for the brokerage in the state of licensure
  • Actively engages with the management of the real estate brokerage in accordance with the rules and guidelines set by California Department of Real Estate (“DRE”)
  • Occasionally acts as liaison for rennie with the DRE, local Associations, and multiple listing services
  • Onboards new advisors and provides training on topics including upcoming contract changes, and workshops on specific expertise of real estate
  • Consults with advisors on their transactions and provides assistance and support, acts as a sounding board, and offers troubleshooting guidance on real estate queries to support the best outcomes and adherence to policy
  • Provides assistance to all advisors during and after “regular business hours”
  • Acts as point person for all conflicts and complaints with other advisors, responsible brokers, and professional associations, and assists Managing Director as-needed
  • Oversees transaction documentation to ensure completion, accuracy, and compliance, and acts as an authorized signing authority
  • Ensures that all advertising adheres to DRE, national fair housing laws, and local regulations
  • Represents rennie at industry related events and functions, as needed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Leadership


WHAT YOU BRING
Education and Experience
  • Active Real Estate Broker License in the state of California
  • No ongoing or prior disciplinary action as a real estate agent/responsible broker in any US state or Canadian province
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an acting Responsible Broker


Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of local real estate market with experience managing multiple offices within a given state or territory
  • Possesses subject matter expertise in real estate transactions
  • Collaborative, creative, flexible, and innovative team player with an ability to work effectively with peers, senior leaders, and key stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, always maintains composure and an action-oriented attitude
  • Excellent problem-solving, and analytical skills with good judgment to make timely and sound decisions
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating team members
  • Experience with MS Office and Google Suite, digital transaction management platforms, and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies


WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Our office is located in Rancho Mirage and this role is primarily office-based with some flexibility to work remotely
  • Ability to travel as required throughout the United States and occasionally to Canada
  • Access to reliable transportation required

SALARY INFORMATION
The typical total compensation for this specific position is from $110,000 to $135,000. The total compensation package offered is based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors including education, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and organizational needs. We have a performance-based bonus program that supports our employees by recognizing exceptional individual performance and company success.
