Responsibilities:
As the Parts Manager you will be responsible for running a profitable and efficient parts department by utilizing proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staffing efficiencies, pricing strategies, merchandising and marketing. The Parts Manager is also responsible for managing department staff.
- Administer and maintain a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the manufacturer.
- Utilize available pricing parameters and strategies to generate sufficient profit while maintaining customer loyalty.
- Ensure inventory is appropriate to meet customer demand while controlling obsolete and excess inventory.
- Ensure full compliance with manufacturer parts and warranty policies, procedures and rules.
- Develop an effective team through training and performance standards.
- Responsible for the profitability of the parts department.
- Responsible for marketing parts and accessories.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of automotive parts experience is required
- Previous supervisory experience
- Ability to engage and motivate the team to achieve key goals
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and CDK is a plus
- Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence
The estimated annual earning range for this position is ($72,000 to $165,600), which includes commissions on (Commissions –Ex: “Individual Sales and/or Individual Gross Profit”, “Department Net”) and/or bonus opportunities such as (Bonuses –Ex: “Parts Gross Achievement, Manufacturer Approvability”).
Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation, as well as a variety of other benefits, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
