Job Purpose and Objectives:
Conducts and assists in investigations at the direction of the District Attorney’s office.
Candidate must live in Reno County or within 25 miles of Hutchinson, Kansas.

Position Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Shall be screened for a record of criminal activity before job duties are assigned that might expose the candidate to KCJIS-sensitive information.
- Shall be screened for a record of criminal activity and criminal history using a fingerprint-based check within 30 days of initial employment of assignment.
- Knowledge of medical investigative practices and techniques.
- Prior experience in Law Enforcement or Emergency Services is preferable.
- On call work involving nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must live in Reno County or within 25 miles of Hutchinson, Kansas.
Certifications / Licenses:
- Valid Kansas driver’s license.
- Trained as a death scene investigator by an accredited instructor.
- Certified for CJIS/KCJIS/NCIC.
Salary : $150
