People need spine care frequently - you would be a huge impact on their spine care health journey! As an advanced practice provider (APP) in our orthopedic clinic, you would provide medical treatment to patients in their initial time of need. You'll provide patient care and support from the time the patient first walks into the clinic, all the way to the operating room if needed. At ROC, we know who we and what we stand for; we do our jobs efficiently and effectively. What would you do as an Advanced Practice Provider?
You can expect to regularly:
- Assess and treat orthopedic injuries or conditions that may require procedures, referral, or further evaluation by an orthopedic surgeon or other health care professional;
- Evaluation of defined initial approach to elicit a detailed and accurate history, perform an appropriate examination, delineate problems, and record data;
- Make diagnoses and decisions about management and treatment of patient conditions;
- Perform diagnostic workups involved in performance and interpretation of common laboratory, radiological and other procedures;
- Order, prescribe, dispense, and administer medication and orthopedic devices as may allowed by state legislation.
- Active Nevada professional license with no license restrictions (PA or NP).
- Nurse Practitioners must be certified to see patients of all ages (FNP) AND licensed to perform as first assist (CSFA).
Preferred Qualifications - How can you set yourself apart from other applicants?
- Two years of experience working as a PA/NP in an orthopedic hospital/clinic setting;
- Experience in a surgical setting.
Travel: This position may require travel based on clinic and surgery needs.
