This position is responsible for attending meetings as required, accurately and efficiently operate a Scoring System and closing games for all guests, when necessary, ensure all bowling equipment is always in proper working conditions, possess a strong attention to detail, and maintain the cleanliness of the bowling center. Communicate with guests and answer questions. A Lane Monitor is expected to be able to work without close supervision and be willing to work irregular hours and days including overtime, weekends, holidays, and night shifts.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all bowling equipment (i.e., bowling balls, shoes, and furniture) is always in proper working condition at all times.
- Accurately and efficiently operated the Scoring System, starting and closing games for all guests when necessary.
- Attending and participating in all meetings.
- Maintains professional and productive atmosphere as well as a positive attitude.
- Adhere to departmental policies and procedures ensuring the highest levels of customer service.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the bowling center and surrounding areas.
- Communicate with guests professionally, answering questions and helping when possible.
- Report to work as scheduled and/or requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Previous experience working in the hospitality industry or bowling setting preferred.
- Must possess excellent time management, problem solving and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks quickly and efficiently.
- Must be able to work all shifts including: holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business dictate.
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume outlet, maintaining a clean, stocked and organized section while adhering to department standards.
- Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend work assignments, and operating manuals as well as understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff, supervisors, visitors, vendors, and the public.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships and work independently in the absence of supervision.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to listen and respond to questions effectively while presenting information in a clear and professional manner.
- Must possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
- Must be well groomed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend (at neck and waist) twist, talk, and hear.
- Frequently required to stand for long periods of time during events.
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
- May require work inside or outside of the building as needed by events.
- Specific vision abilities required include close distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- May be exposed to various temperatures inside he building and outside the building, airborne particles, and fumes.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet while in the office, or moderately noisy when in the field.
