Worship Leader

Renovation Church is a fast-growing community that is passionate about following Jesus and helping others do the same. We recently moved into a brand new 45,000 square foot church building, and since moving our church has grown in attendance from 500 to over 2,200 people over the past four years. We are looking to hire a Worship Leader to help lead worship during Sunday morning services. We are looking for a gifted leader who is passionate about worship ministry and able to lead by singing and has enough knowledge to improve the skills of the entire worship team. The minimum hour requirement for this position is 25 hours per week, although there may be opportunity to increase the position to full time based on the individuals’ availability and giftings to support other worship initiatives for the church. • Many years of experience in leading worship through singing

• Preferred experience: Proficient to lead worship from one or multiple instruments

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and Lead Worship for Sunday Morning Services

• Set up worship center stage for the Sunday morning worship experience
• Choose weekly setlists and manage songs in Planning Center
• Input lyrics into ProPresenter
• Program worship center lighting for weekend services
• Print materials needed for band and production
• Lead weekly Thursday night worship team rehearsals (6:30pm – 9:00pm)
• Co-lead worship on Sunday Mornings alongside another Worship Leader

Worship Department Administration

• Manage the worship team schedule in Planning Center
• Find replacements for worship team members as needed
• Assist in scheduling AV, musicians, and singers for miscellaneous church events (eg. weddings, funerals, or other events)
• Manage stage, backstage, and green room organization and cleanliness
• Develop and implement resourcing initiatives to further empower our volunteers

Worship Department Leadership

• Foresee upcoming needs for the Worship Center and move projects forward
• Lead the process for choosing new songs for our church
• Setup auditions for volunteers on the worship team
• Oversee Worship Department Team Nights
• Assist on creative projects for church events (Christmas, Easter, Fall Kickoff)
• Plan Encounter worship nights in collaboration with key team members
• Meet with volunteers

Meetings

• Meet regularly with the Creative Director to report strengths and weaknesses of the ministry, to be held accountable for job responsibilities, and also to better develop personal leadership.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and meetings with the creative staff

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
