JOB SUMMARY
As an Operations Specialist at Renovation Systems, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our company. You will assist in various operational tasks and projects, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows across departments. Your responsibilities will include managing the warehouse operations, scheduling subcontractors and ensuring solid work performance, coordinating with internal teams, managing administrative tasks, and contributing to process improvement initiatives. This role is essential in helping our organization meet its operational goals and deliver exceptional service to our clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Assist in coordinating operational activities, including scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation, to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects
- Manage warehouse operations including operation of carpet cutting operations
- Manage distribution to subcontractors ensuring timely completion and accurate record keeping
- Perform field quality review for installations as needed
- Schedule installation and work crews for the company’s various services
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, procurement, and logistics, to facilitate communication, resolve issues, and support cross-functional initiatives
- Manage administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and documentation, to maintain accurate records and support operational efficiency
- Support process improvement initiatives by identifying areas for optimization, collecting data, and assisting in the implementation of solutions to enhance operational effectiveness
- Monitor inventory levels, track shipments, and coordinate deliveries to ensure adequate stock levels and timely fulfillment of orders
- Assist in analyzing operational performance metrics and KPIs to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement
- Provide support to operations managers and supervisors as needed, including preparing reports, conducting research, and participating in meetings and discussions
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices to streamline operations and enhance productivity
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in operations management to maintain knowledge and skills relevant to the role
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field preferred
- At least 3 years of experience in operations support or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing, construction, or service industry. Flooring experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Ability to learn new tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software applications
- Forklift operation experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and business needs
