Senior Accountant
Santa Rosa, CA Direct, Full-Time Onsite Construction
Santa Rosa-based Construction company is seeking a direct-hire, Senior Accountant to provide support for all accounting operations of the company. This is a fully on-site opportunity with a salary budget between $110,000-$130,000/year, depending upon relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background previously working in the construction industry and will also have strong experience in WIP progress/schedules.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Accurately prepare Work in Progress (WIP) schedules and forecasting as needed
- Perform analysis on job budgets to costs, job profits, job revenues, billings, and backlogs
- Tracking, collect, and enter fixed asset data
- Prepare job cost allocations, journal entries, and reconciliations for various accounts to assist with the month-end close process
- Provide support for the accounting team on annual audit documentation, respond to audit inquiries, and ensure timeliness of year-end audit deliverables
- Accurately prepare and facilitate ongoing analytical review in support of the monthly billing process
- Special projects and other duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field
- 5 years of experience working in the construction industry required
- Prior experience using construction software highly preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strong organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience using Excel (mid to high-level)
Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
