Overview
A new residential group home in Lanham is seeking a dedicated and compassionate In-House Residential House Parent to join her team. This is a live-in position from Monday to Sunday.
Responsibilities
- Grocery shopping for the residents
- Preparation of food for the residents
- Drive residents to appointments or community activities as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the living space to ensure a comfortable atmosphere.
- Support residents in understanding and exercising their rights while encouraging self-advocacy.
- Lift and assist residents with mobility challenges, ensuring their safety.
- Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Engage residents in recreational activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Provide all types of ADL service and personal care
Experience
- Experience working in a residential setting or a group home is mandatory
- Able to read and write
- Proficient in meal prepping.
- Must be experienced working with transactional youth with autism
- CMT certification. Familiarity with medication administration protocols is a plus.
- CPR/First Aid is a must
- Must be Eligible to work in the United States of America
- Must have 3 - 5 years' work experience
- The ability to clean and maintain a hygienic environment for residents is required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving as part of your responsibilities.
