SUMMARY :
The CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE ensures that customers receive the best sales service possible through processing orders, preparing general correspondence, and coordinating with other departments as required.
ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Required Skills / Abilities :
Accurately record and process orders and / or inquiries.
In a courteous and professional manner, provide product quotes, order status and shipping information to customers.
Use clear guidelines and tables to calculate and quote product prices.
Prepare timely company billing, bills of lading, shipping labels and freight claims.
Process request for company information promptly.
Inform the manager of any problems, deviation in lead times, or special requests of customers.
Perform functions of absent office employees to ensure uninterrupted workflow and communication.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience :
High School diploma or equivalent.
One (1) year of general office experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skill with the ability to interact effectively at all levels. Professional attitude and appearance.
Working knowledge of general office practices, procedures, and use of office equipment.
Solid English skills, both verbal and written, including accurate spelling and punctuation.
Accurate typing of 50 WPM with PC literacy in word processing and spreadsheet applications, ideally in MS.
Organized, detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Creative problem-solver who adapts to change in a positive manner, offering ideas and insight.
Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
Physical Requirements :
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.
