This role reports to the CIO and leads Rensa’s IT Operations team, responsible for providing technical vision and strategic direction for the technology operations. The role provides strategic oversight of Managed Services Provider relationships to ensure service levels are maintained and evolve to meet the changing needs of the organization. The Director, IT Operations, provides critical inputs into the IT strategy, executing technology plans, integrating acquisitions, developing lifecycle management roadmaps, and developing people and processes to ensure infrastructure and services are aligned with overall business goals. Our operations are currently spread over 18 sites and growing across U.S. and Canada.
Job Description
- Own and operate Rensa’s global IT operations footprint including physical infrastructure, end user services, applications support, Cybersecurity, and MSPs, MSSP, and other IT vendors.
- Plan, develop, and execute Integration roadmap for current and future acquisitions.
- Partner with IT teams, MSPs, and MSSP to optimize processes and deliverables, by leveraging metrics-based processes, to support the growth engine of Rensa.
- Develop and ensure employee capability through performance management processes, talent reviews, training and development and effective staffing decisions.
- Ensure thorough financial planning and meticulous tracking of service level agreements (SLA’s) to ensure adherence with the MSP while maintaining a partnership-based relationship.
- Leverage vendor partners to keep in sync with changing technologies and help the organization scale using Cloud and Advanced Infrastructure tools and solutions.
- Provide overall management, technical, and financial direction for technology projects, in conjunction with MSPs and MSSP.
- Develop infrastructure solutions that lay a strong foundation for business goals and solve complex business problems while focusing on Total Cost of Ownership in partnership with our MSPs and MSSP.
- Ensure all infrastructure is current from a security and version standpoint to avoid obsolescence. Sunset obsolete systems by working in conjunction with the Rensa IT and Business stakeholders.
- Maintain End User service-level scores by delivering satisfactory services through the MSP Help Desk and systems.
- Manage on-premises infrastructure within manufacturing plants while continuing to explore opportunities to reduce physical infrastructure.
- Respond both reactively and proactively to technology-related issues enabling timely and effective resolutions across all Rensa systems.
- Expected 10-20% travel within the U.S. as needed.
