Job Summary
The Department of Cognitive Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute invites applicants for a non-tenure track position as Lecturer in the Psychological Science program for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in psychology or a closely related field at the time of appointment. Applicants should have a strong desire and commitment to teaching primarily at the undergraduate level. Experience in undergraduate-level teaching is strongly preferred.
Teaching responsibilities include offering three 4-credit courses per semester. Applicants should indicate their interest in and ability to teach to PSYC 1200 - Introduction to Psychological Science, PSYC 2310 - Research Methods and Statistics I, and other courses in their area of specialization.
This position starts August 16, 2025
Shift
Incumbent will typically work standard business hours, with an occasional evening or weekend from time to time to meet students' scheduling needs
Starting Salary/Rate
Expected hiring range: $62,500 per 9-month academic year
