JOB SUMMARY:
The I T & Computer Repair Technician will be expected to work well in a team environment. S/he will work closely with other Managers and peers throughout the Rent-2-Own workplace. The I T & Computer Repair Technician will work with and help lead a team in making decisions about technical and systems development within the organization as well as assisting in repairs to computers and the network.
As a key technical resource for Countryside Rentals, the incumbent will exercise a high degree of support for the Department Manager in setting the direction for technical developments and overseeing implementation of projects for the organization. In both the technical and administrative areas, this person must be able to deal with situations and problems where formal resources are not available or directly applicable. The position must have and use a body of knowledge about IT, software support, and hardware repair combined with standard departmental and Company business needs.
Job Requirements
• Satisfactory work record and attendance.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Willingness to work as a “Team Player"
• Prior PC Service and small electronics repair a Plus
• Valid State motor vehicle operator's license with evidence of safety and insurability within the guidelines of the insurer.
• Ability to convey a positive and professional image to customers and employees.
• Strong verbal communication, problem solving skills, writing, organizational, computer, internet, and phone skills.
• Willingness to work within the policies, procedures, collections laws, and ethics established by the Company
• Able to properly lift and repetitively maneuver all store products and equipment including but not limited to household furniture, appliances and electronics by using proper equipment and safe lifting techniques.
• The ability to maintain and organize computer and paper files.
• Must be dependable, reliable and mature enough to handle all types of monetary transactions, as well as other company assets such as equipment and vehicles in a safe, responsible and sensible manner
