Rent Equip is a construction equipment rental company with over 2 decades' experience in the Austin area, and we are extremely excited to add our first Outside Sales Representative to our already-outstanding team. We are looking for an extremely high character, high energy candidate with an exceptional work ethic and a competitive spirit. As our Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and building strong relationships with clients. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, has outstanding verbal and written communication skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is willing to roll up their sleeves to do whatever it takes to get the job done. After a short equipment familiarization program, this person will work side-by-side with the President of Rent Equip to learn the products, the market, the customers and strategies to grow the company's market share.
Initially, this position will receive a minimum monthly guaranteed salary commensurate with the employee's experience and income history. Long term, this position offers a base salary and monthly uncapped commissions (based on revenue) along with a company truck.
This position will report directly to the President.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and generate leads through various channels such as cold calling, networking events and referrals
- Conduct face-to-face sales calls with clients and potential clients in an extremely competitive environment
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business
- Identify customer needs and provide appropriate solutions
- Utilize Salesforce to track sales activities and manage customer accounts, and review Salesforce activity with President each week
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities
- Negotiate contracts and pricing terms with clients
Qualifications

- Ability to multitask and effectively manage a large number of accounts
- Willingness to deliver and pick up equipment when necessary
- 2 years of outside sales experience
- 1-2 years of construction experience
- Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
