What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rental Coordinator position at Rent Equip?

GUARANTEED 47.5 HOURS/WEEK
The Rental Coordinator position works alongside the Branch Manager and provides overall support for the branch. This is a dynamic, constantly changing position that allows the employee to wear many hats and work in several different capacities during the work day. One day each week, this position will act as the Manager on the Branch Manager's day off.
Duties Include:
- Work at the rental counter to interface with customers, answer phones, generate rental tickets and collect payment
- Ensure equipment that has been reserved is ready to rent and ensure equipment going out the following morning is ready the night before
- Deliver/pick up equipment in the field as needed
- Maintain/dispose of consumable shop supplies (fuel, oil, waste oil pickup, battery pickup, scrap metal etc)
- Assist service techs in performing preventive maintenance on rental equipment
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the entire branch location, both the shop and the yard
This position requires:
- Outstanding communication skills
- Desire to embrace constantly shifting priorities and constantly changing information
- Clean driving record and desire to pick up / deliver equipment as required
- Ability to learn and use the company’s rental software as well as Excel
- Standing for long periods of time
Normal hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm and Saturdays 7am-Noon. This position will work 5 days/week with one of those days being a Saturday.
Spanish fluency and/or military experience would be a plus.
