What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Assistant position at Rental Asset Management?
Main Purpose
Execute financial and administrative activities that contribute to the proper functioning of the company's operations, ensuring accuracy in the recording of transactions in the system and compliance with defined policies and processes.
Essential Functions
- Prepare and publish invoices for rent and other tenant payments, validating payment terms, surcharges, credit balances, fines, and other charges.
- Record any changes that may affect the final values of the rental invoice, ensuring the tenant's account balance is accurate.
- Track and send cases of former tenants in arrears to the agency managing the collection process to support money recovery efforts.
- Make accounting entries to justify the entry of money not related to rent when applicable.
- Process payments for purchases made from registered suppliers, validating ownership and the assigned Work Order.
- Handle administrative material purchase requests, seeking the best market option and validating the cost-benefit relationship for the company.
Basic or Essential Knowledge
Essential Knowledge:
- Accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software.
- Experience using Yardi for financial and property management tasks.
General Knowledge:
- Familiarity with local laws and regulations related to real estate.
Language Skills:
- Bilingual (English - Spanish)
Education and Experience Requirements
- Education: Technical Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in related positions.

- Education: High School Diploma.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in related positions.
