Job Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's accounts receivable functions. This role involves leading a team, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, monitoring receivables, and implementing strategies to optimize cash flow.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Lead, train, and supervise the accounts receivable team.
  • Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely generation of customer invoices.
  • Review and verify billing information for accuracy.
  • Coordinate with other departments to obtain necessary billing details.
  • Evaluate and establish credit limits for customers.
  • Monitor credit terms and ensure compliance.
  • Review credit applications and make credit decisions.
  • Implement effective collections strategies to minimize overdue accounts.
  • Contact customers regarding overdue payments and negotiate payment terms.
  • Resolve customer billing issues and discrepancies.
  • Oversee the application of cash receipts to customer accounts.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between bank deposits and receivable records.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date cash application processes
  • Generate regular reports on accounts receivable aging, cash flow, and collections performance.
  • Analyze receivable trends and recommend improvements.
  • Provide financial reports to management as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
  • Implement best practices for accounts receivable management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline billing and collections processes.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns related to billing and payments.
  • Work with sales and customer service teams to resolve issues.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • NetSuite and Salesforce experience.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable management.
