Qualified candidates must hold or be eligible for Washington State Teacher Certification.
This position will work on-site at Talley High School. This unique teaching opportunity will work .75 FTE as a Virtual Mentor Teacher (3 periods per day) and will also teach one period per day of Physical Education. A Physical Education endorsement is desired, however, out-of-endorsement applicants will also be considered.
The virtual program is designed to successfully meet the needs of secondary students who desire at-home learning. The Virtual Teacher Mentor works with a cadre of middle school and/or high school students. The Virtual program combines Edgenuity on-line courses, Edgenuity certificated teachers, with the Talley Virtual Teacher Mentors. The teacher mentor will coordinate and monitor students, will conduct check-ins with all students in their cadre, and be available to support individual student needs.
These positions are regular, contracted REA positions, with demonstrated skills in providing quality digital learning.Please see attached job description for additional information.
