Maintenance Technician

We are currently seeking a Vehicle and Maintenance Mechanic with a strong electrical background to join our team. This role is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain construction and restoration equipment.

Job Hours : 8:00am - 4:30pm

Primary Responsibilities:

• ·         Repairs and maintains vehicles, machinery, and mechanical equipment

o    Company Vehicles (oil changes, brakes, diagnostics)

o    Hand Tools

o    Ride On Sanders

o    Grinders

• ·         Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs as well as scheduled maintenance repairs.
• ·         Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
• ·         Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
• ·         Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• ·         Diagnoses and repairs electrical issues on vehicles, machinery, and tools.
• ·         Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• ·         Assembles, installs, and fabricates equipment as well as perform preventative and predictive maintenance.

Qualifications:

• GED or High School Diploma and/or Recent Trade School Graduate
• Knowledge of Automotive and Machinery/Tool Repair
  • Oil Changes
  • Brakes
  • Wipers
• Excellent troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge in basic cutting/welding, electrical/wiring, ability to read electrical diagrams and carpentry experience helpful.
• Basic computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.) 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgrounds.
• Capable of managing stressful and high-pressure situations as there is an extreme sense of urgency to repair items in an emergency.
• Excellent mechanical skills to read and interpret technical manuals and sophisticated diagnostic equipment to perform required maintenance and service.
• Excellent problem solving/trouble shooting skills in order to observe, diagnose, and fix machinery malfunctions.
