What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Accounting Coordinator position at Renu Contracting & Restoration?
This role is responsible for providing administrative and accounting support to the Project Accounting team. This role involves tracking project costs, preparing financial reports, and assisting with monthly American Institute of Architects (AIA) and Time & Material (T&M) pay applications.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Assist with compiling, and submitting monthly AIA pay applications and T&M billing
· Track project costs and ensure expenses are billed accurately and efficiently
· Collect and organize required backup documentation from subcontractors and vendors
· Maintain ongoing communication with subcontractors for missing documents and/or required compliance items
· Monitor and track subcontractor billing and lien waivers
· Maintain & update Master Billing Schedule
· Provide general administrative support to the project accounting team
· Enter and maintain accurate data between Sage 300 and Procore and investigate any discrepancies
· Assist with implementing new department billing processes as needed
Education:
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or related field preferred
Skills:
· Familiarity with Sage 300 and Procore
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
· Strong understanding of accounting principles and project management
Experience:
· 1-2 years of experience in an administrative, accounting, or construction-related role preferred
