We are looking for a technically skilled, hands-on Plant Manager to lead operations at our innovative plastic recycling facility in Valdosta, GA. What You’ll Do
Plant Operations & Leadership
- Lead daily operations of the facility, ensuring efficient, safe, and continuous production.
- Supervise, mentor, and coordinate a team of operators.
- Coordinate production line to ensure minimal downtime and consistent quality.
- Maintain clear communication between shifts to support seamless 24/7 operations.
Process Engineering & Optimization
- Identify and implement improvements to extrusion processes using data-driven analysis.
- Monitor real-time production metrics, proactively identifying issues to reduce downtime and conserve maintenance costs.
- Perform in-process inspections and monitor production quality to ensure conformance with internal standards.
- Update and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reflect evolving best practices and equipment capabilities.
Technical Support & Hands-On Involvement
- Operate and troubleshoot systems.
- Perform high-level maintenance on key production equipment and tools.
- Maintain detailed operational records, including system performance data, maintenance logs, and process improvement findings.
Safety, Compliance & Culture
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and internal safety standards.
- Foster a safety-first environment with regular training, audits, and process reviews.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and operational ownership.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- 5 years of experience in plant operations, manufacturing, or industrial process management, preferably in plastics, chemicals, or recycling.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience maintaining or operating complex process equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams in fast-paced, high-volume production environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in plastic extrusion or polymer processing.
- Hands-on experience in pilot plants, lab-scale systems, or experimental production campaigns.
- Proven ability to balance engineering analysis with day-to-day operations and decision-making.
- Advanced certifications in process safety, maintenance, or controls engineering.
