Job Title : Technical Engineering Project Manager

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Technical Engineering Project Manager to oversee and lead engineering projects from inception to completion. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing resources, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical solutions on time and within budget. The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background, exceptional project management skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Planning and Management :

  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Define project objectives and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

Team Coordination :

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams to ensure alignment.
  • Manage team performance, providing clear guidance and support.
  • Technical Oversight :

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and adherence to specifications.
  • Review designs, plans, and technical documents to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and engineering best practices to inform project decisions.
  • Stakeholder Management :

  • Communicate project status, milestones, and deliverables to stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns proactively.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries.
  • Budget and Resource Management :

  • Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet project requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
  • Quality Assurance :

  • Establish quality standards and ensure all deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and implement continuous improvement practices.
  • Facilitate testing, validation, and post-implementation evaluations.
  • Qualifications and Skills :

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience :

  • 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in an engineering or technical environment.
  • Proven track record of managing complex technical projects.
  • Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and authorized to work in the US.
  • Technical Expertise :

  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and project lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, Jira, or other relevant software.
  • Experience with product development
  • Experience with product life cycle management (PLM)
  • Strong understanding of autonomous systems, AI, Robotics, and vehicle technology is highly desirable
  • Project Management Certifications :

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are a plus.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools like MS Project, Trello, or Asana.
