ReNuke Services is seeking an Electrical Engineer III for our client"s site in Stanley, NC!
Job Description:
Full time, onsite
*Can sit at Cowans Ford or Bad Creek Hydro Stations*
* Provides engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of routine problems in area of expertise.
* Assists in the accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities under the guidance of higher-level employees.
* Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches associated with the resolution of routine technical problems.
* Conducts basic engineering studies requiring little evaluation or ingenuity.
* Possesses knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures.
* Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities. Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills. Maintains accurate records and files.
* Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally.
* They effectively apply fundamental concepts and procedures to work that is fairly complex and varied. - ≥ 10 years discipline experience
* Needs to be comfortable traveling to remote locations with limited cell service (25-50% travel required to 40 sites within the region). Some overnight travel required. Expenses reimbursed. Will be using own vehicle.
1. Will this worker be performing any physical labor? Occasionally walking up several flights of stairs and working from heights and on scaffold could be required
2. Will this worker be required to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)? If so, what kind? Hard Hat, Steel Toe Boots, Safety Glasses, Flame resistant and arc flash apparel
3. Will this worker work in the field, plant, lab or office environment? Field, plant, and office
4. Will this worker encounter any hazardous work conditions? If so, please explain. Electrical safety, working from heights, power plant safety
5. Will this worker be required to lift as part of their duties? If so, how many pounds on average? No
6. Will this worker be required to climb ladders? If so, what is the height of the ladder? No
7. Will this worker be required to use any machinery? If so, what kind? No
8. Will this worker be required to drive as part of their duties? If so, what is the radius of the miles driven on average? Yes, will be asked to support hydro stations which will require driving to those sites
Preferred Qualifications:
* Professional Engineer
* 10 years of Electrical Engineering experience
* Specification development and/or technical writing experience listed
* High voltage equipment experience
* Powerplant experience
* Power generation experience (hydro or otherwise)
* ETAP or SKM listed as a familiar software
* Arc flash experience
* System protection experience
