Maintenance Mechanic

JOB TITLE: MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

Starting Rate: $16.50

JOB SUMMARY

Perform machine troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance. The Maintenance Mechanic will possess skills in one or more of the following areas: mechanical, electrical, fabricating/welding, technical expertise. A minimum of 3 years of factory maintenance experience is required. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

•  Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
• Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines
• Limit equipment downtime by working with processing on scheduling maintenance
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance service
• Troubleshoot and repair fork trucks, semi tractors and trailers
• Performs repairs on facilities as needed
• Complies with OSHA Safety and Health rules
• Performs other duties as assigned or needed

Qualifications

Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. A minimum of 3 years of factory maintenance experience is required.

The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is the work environment is usually moderate. 

Experience:

• Pneumatic & Hydraulic: 2 years preferred
• Electrical & Instrumentation: 2 years preferred
• Factory Maintenance: 3 years preferred
