JOB TITLE: PLANT SUPERVISOR
SUMMARY: Supervise/coordinate the activities of production workers to ensure timely completion of customer orders, complying with all safety, quality, quantity, and housekeeping standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage activities of workers and coordinates production to translate customer requirements into finished products; Fosters teamwork; expected to lead by example with enthusiasm, energy, and positive attitude
- Makes/distributes work assignments in area to meet schedules and deliver orders on time; on-going monitoring of assignments to ensure requirements are met and communicates due dates to CSR.
- Documents incidents regarding employee’s performance/attitude (both good and bad); report misconduct to Plant Manager.
- Communicates problems to Plant Manager (troubleshoots problems as applicable), enforces corporate safety policies; suggest/ implement safety improvements with involvement of Plant Manager, corporate Quality and EHS manager; Participate in weekly safety meetings, enforce proper PPE during Operation and Enforce employee proper use of time clock and compliance with break schedule.
- Demonstrates honesty, high personal integrity, and commitment. Maximizes potential of each employee, Responsible for training employees (fork-truck, manufacturing operations and procedures)
- Report to Plant Manager any property or equipment damages; make equipment available for PM’s, Securing equipment at the end of the daily operations.
- Complete log sheet and material inspection sheets for new or completed jobs.
- Participate in New/ updated job reviews, remove damaged or out of calibration equipment from production floor, comply with all procedures and recommend quality improvements to Plant Manager.
- Direct employees to keep facility clean from clutter, pellets on floor, trash, and any other times, which might affect the ability to complete the job safely, effectively and without contamination, schedule employees to clean outside grounds.
- Load/unload trucks as needed and Provide receiving paperwork to Office daily
QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree or some college preferred. Knowledge of manufacturing processes (raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods). Knowledge in coordination of people and resources. Strong customer focus. Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions. Strong computer skills.
