WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Business Development Representative (BDR) at Rep Data play key roles in supporting the Sales Team by prospecting, generating leads, following up on leads, communicating with and engaging clients, and speaking to clients about Rep Data’s value proposition and offerings in a way that encourages clients to learn more by meeting with an Account Executive or Account Manager. Business Development Representatives are each assigned to a specific Sales Team and report directly to one of our two Senior Vice Presidents of Sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively conduct market research to identify new potential clients and business opportunities. Build and manage the lead pipeline.
- Initiate contact with potential clients via phone calls, emails, and other communication channels.
- Clearly communicate the value proposition of the company's products / services.
- Schedule introductory meetings or product demos and follow-up with clients to ensure meetings scheduled are held.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Salesforce.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers.
- Work closely with marketing to align outreach strategies with campaigns.
- Provide feedback to the product and marketing teams based on client interactions
- In addition to the above, senior-level business development position responsibilities will also include :
Own attendee list in advance of conferences and special events. Work with AEs and AMs 1 : 1 on strategic outreach and contacts / account assignments.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred, but not required if the candidate has relevant experience.
1-2 years of experience in sales, business development, or client-facing roles.
Strong research skills to identify potential clients and business opportunities.
Goal-oriented and motivated by measurable success.
