Title : Capacity Planning Engineer IV
Job Type : Direct Hire
Location : Alpharetta, GA
Salary : 125K – 135K (15% Yearly Bonus)
The Capacity Planning Engineer IV is responsible for planning end-to-end network capacity to ensure performance is optimized. This position is responsible for modeling the entire network using industry standard software, planning strategically given existing and predicted traffic demands, and working with boundary partners to ensure proper monitoring and reporting is being maintained.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to those listed below :
- Gathers business requirements and / or presents performance data and network monitoring results to business units and peers.
- Gathers data regarding traffic / capacity / re -occurring problem for long term root cause studies.
- Identifies holes in the present deployment of standard hardware and software-based monitoring solutions.
- Analyzes or oversees analysis of capacity / traffic.
- Identifies capacity-related issues and provides technical solutions relative to business constraints
- Identifies business opportunities based on network traffic trends and analysis
- Prepares capacity / traffic studies for use or review by others.
- Develops performance & capacity reports / presentations.
