Job Title: Baler Operator
Reports To: Shift Supervisor
Location: Berkeley, SC
Status: Non-Exempt
Summary: Hours are from 12:30pm - 9pm M-F, Saturdays as needed.
Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, the Baler Operator will be responsible for operating our Kontia Pal Baler, processing materials such as OCC (Old Corrugated Cardboard), UBC (Used Beverage Cans), HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), and other recyclable materials. This role is crucial in helping us achieve our mission of transforming waste into resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
· Operate the Kontia Pal Baler efficiently to compress and bale recyclable materials.
· Monitor the baler’s performance, adjusting as necessary to ensure optimal operation.
· Conduct regular maintenance checks and coordinate with the maintenance team for any necessary repairs.
· Ensure that all baled materials are correctly labeled and stored for shipping.
· Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
· Record and report on material volumes processed, issues encountered, and any deviations from standard operating procedures.
· Other duties assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
