  • This position requires you to work in person from our Eugene, Oregon area offices. Repower Specialists is located 7 miles south of West Eugene (a 15-minute drive from the Fred Meyer on West 11th)

We are currently seeking a full-time Installation Support/Customer Service Specialist to join our team in Eugene, Oregon. This position is responsible for answering customer mechanical and electrical questions during the installation of a Repower replacement engine kit. This position communicates daily with customers by phone and email to assist with installation, discuss equipment issues, troubleshoot wiring and provide solutions to possible installation conflicts. It is imperative for the person in this position to possess good interpersonal and problem-solving skills. This role must obtain a working knowledge of all engines, parts and the necessary installation requirements for each kit. Training will be provided.

With the working knowledge of our products, this position has the opportunity to be cross-trained in sales to assist customers in ordering products, answer questions about our products, and assist with the sales program development.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Associates degree or equivalent years of technical support and customer service experience.
  • Excellent trouble-shooting and analytical skills, desire to solve problems, and make things work.
  • Good judgment, capacity to independently evaluate situations, and identify the optimum course of action.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and set appropriate priorities.
  • Proficient with MS Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate excellent organization and time management skills, and adapt well to change.
  • Ability to obtain working knowledge of Repower kits and installation requirements.
  • Exceptional customer service skills. Ability to accurately understand a customer’s needs and match those needs with an effective solution.
  • Initiative in seeking ways to contribute to the success of the company that go beyond a narrow definition of job responsibilities.

Essential Functions:

  • Answer technical support phone calls and emails.
  • Assist in the prototyping and development of new products.
  • Active problem solving, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Answer customer sales calls and emails to assist customers with making purchases which will meet their equipment specifications.
  • Process sales in accordance with established procedures. Enter all sales data in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Follow up with customers after they have received their product to ensure full satisfaction.
  • Adhere to Repower Specialists Ltd. company policies and procedures.
  • Promptly communicate product changes and issues to management.
  • Effectively and efficiently use computer and technology systems.

Safety Requirements:

  • Steel toe safety shoes
  • PPE including eyewear, gloves and mask when necessary
  • Use equipment in a safe and respectful manner
  • Report all accidents, incidents and hazards to management
  • Practice hazard communication and awareness
  • Work in a safe and responsible manner

This is a manufacturing environment. You may need to utilize the following equipment: Forklift, pallet jack, engine hoist, power tools, ladder, phone, computer, hand tools
