We are a substance abuse treatment center seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our enthusiastic team of multidisciplinary professionals. Reprieve Recovery Center is actively seeking a therapist who is well versed in treatment for substance use disorder and mental health. Reprieve utilizes a 12-step program of recovery and abstinence-based approach to treatment.
Job Description
The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for delivering, care, treatment and services in accordance with the permitted scope of practice to individuals receiving care in the Partial Care program
Job Functions and Duties:
1. Assess and evaluates patients appropriately and records diagnostic impression.
2. Demonstrates advanced clinical knowledge and sound clinical practice for the target population receiving mental health and substance abuse treatment services.
3. Conducts continual treatment plan management, medication management, and evaluation.
4. Prescribes medication in accordance with clinical standards and directed by the Medical Director.
5. Provides continual services and treatment-plan management.
6. Follows all policies and procedures with regard to the delivery of care, treatment, and services.
7. Maintains timely clinical documentation in accordance with all policies.
8. Demonstrates regard for the dignity and respect of all clients, their families, and other employees, in support of the organization’s mission.
9. Collaborates with other treatment team staff as necessary and seeks continual guidance from the Collaborating Psychiatrist.
10. Maintains strict standards of confidentiality.
11. Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Masters of Science in Nursing; and
2. New Jersey Advanced Practice Nurse licensure with prescriptive authority in good standing; and
3. Certification as a Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center; and
4. Valid Registration as a Provider of Controlled Dangerous Substances with the State of New Jersey and United States Department of Justice; and
5. Previous experience treating mental health disorders.
