Our Renewable Energy Expansion
In the summer of 2021, Repsol expanded its renewables operations to the US through the 40% acquisition of a large U.based PV solar and battery storage project developer.
Through this acquisition, Repsol has secured access to a significant renewable asset development pipeline. We are currently building a renewables portfolio of around 6 GW by 2030.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting to join our US CFO team to coordinate all US accounting affairs relating to our renewables operations in North America and contribute to the delivery of quality financial reporting to management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and issuance of quarterly and annual financial statements
- Planning and supervision of the accounting and administration process
- Provide accurate P&L, cash flow, working capital and capital expenditure reporting at project and portfolio levels
- Establish and maintain accounting policies, leading practices and procedures to ensure US GAAP and IFRS compliance
- Support project acquisitions, financing and asset rotations
- Manage the external audit process
- Lead the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, accounting or related field
- ~8 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance roles
- Knowledge and experience with SAP systems highly preferred
- Exceptional management, planning and administrative skills are required
- Prior work experience in the renewables sector is a plus

- Participating in internal finance department discussions recommending accounting policies and procedures to CFO and/or corporate teams
- Represent US business unit in discussions with corporate accounting and leadership teams
- Build understanding of complex business and financing structures used in renewable energy projects
- Joining the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant (AICPA) and participating the training program to maintain Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
