Job Summary :
RRNA is recruiting power generation / energy industry professionals who are driven to develop, build and operate assets safely and reliably to help the company achieve its established global decarbonization goals. In order to transition to a decarbonized grid, large scale renewable energy projects must be introduced to the electricity system. To help with the transition our team is searching for individuals who have data-driven and fact-based mindsets, are capable of engaging and collaborating with key stakeholders and are growth-focused professionals.
The HSE Field Manager will have the exciting opportunity to drive an injury and environmental incident free HSE culture in a fast-growing organization. Under the supervision of the HSE Manager you will partner with the various RRNA teams, to ensure our projects are following all required protocols and creating a positive environment for the safety of our employees, contractors, the environment, and RRNA's assets. It is required to establish and maintain clear lines of communication with internal customers, contractors, and subcontractors, maintain awareness of project HSE needs / issues and address these with the appropriate Repsol Renewables NA team.
The position is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
R e sp o ns i b ili t i e s :
- Manage HSE policy and guidelines, ensuring that they conform to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Clear capacity to identify and manage risks / hazards related to construction and commissioning of all types of renewable energy projects.
- Develop and maintain site-specific documentation and templates that include a HSE manual, hazard and risk assessments, emergency response plans, PPE assessments, safe work planning, and site access.
- Participates and / or leads in HSE related discussions at the site level; safe work planning, daily plan of the day meetings with contractor and the RRNA team.
- Lead, coach, mentor and guide on a day-to-day basis a team of HSE professionals across NAM region.
- Provide the necessary direction and training to build business HSE capabilities and knowledge within HSE personnel.
- Provide oversight and governance to ensure HSE compliance with applicable management systems, programs, legislation and standards for distributed (projects and services) operations across the region.
- Partner and develop positive working relationships with customers within the company, contractors, and external agencies.
- Main point of contact and interactions with all stakeholders mentioned for the respective portfolio being served.
- Support the construction and handover process; making sure that the operations team gets a high quality & performing HSE site.
- Work closely with the Environmental Affairs & HSE team to ensure the appropriate governance is in place to monitor performance in all areas of construction. In addition, occasionally participate in business HSE governance audits and help with corrective action implementation.
- Share best practices across regions and areas of operation.
