The successful candidate needs to be organized with good time management skills and can multi-task while remaining calm and focused. You’ll maintain phone and written contact with all necessary parties to verify coverage and to investigate, manage and resolve medical-only claims promptly and accurately. The person in this role will work a hybrid schedule of one day per week onsite in our San Francisco office. This is an excellent career opportunity as a Claims professional. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Investigating losses
- Analyzing coverage, determining compensability and benefits
- Establishing reserves and negotiating settlements
- Conducting meetings on the phone with insureds and claimants
- Preparing large loss reports to both internal and external audiences
- Attending settlement conferences as assigned
- Working closely with defense attorneys and other vendors including medical case management, surveillance, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
