What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL A Overnight Shuttle Driver position at Republic National Distributing Company Ashland?

Responsible for the delivery of product to specified depots locations across the network. Drives tractor and trailer with product over established route between RNDC locations. Drops product off at desired locations.
- Drives Tractor and 53’ trailer approximately 200 to 300 miles per shift, across 4 segmented trips
- Properly conducts a pre and post trip inspection, notating any vehicle defects
- Abides by the DOT hours of service rules and regulations for their license type
- Connects and disconnects multiple loads at each RNDC location
- The potential for dedicated overnight routes exists
- Ensures physical security of truck at all times
- May utilize a smartphone for interaction with hours of service (HOS) software and / or driver monitoring programs.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferably one-year driving experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires a current Class A CDL driver's license. Must be able to obtain valid DOT medical certification card and file appropriately with state Motor Vehicle Department.
