What You’ll Do
The Performance Management Associate will lead the implementation of RePublic’s performance management strategy, ensuring that goal-setting, feedback, coaching, and recognition systems are aligned, data-driven, and deeply embedded into the culture of our schools.
This role will work closely with school and network leaders to build systems that drive clarity, professional growth, and equitable evaluations, ultimately strengthening staff retention, engagement, and impact on our work with scholars and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance Management & Goal Setting
- Support with the implementation of a network-wide performance management system that ensures staff have clear, aligned goals that connect to organizational priorities.
- Support with developing tools, training, and resources to support managers in setting SMART goals for their teams.
- Alongside the Chief Talent Officer, support with the annual goal-setting process for network and school-based teams, ensuring alignment with RePublic’s strategic priorities.
Performance Monitoring & Feedback Culture
- Establish a data-driven performance monitoring system that provides managers with real-time insights into staff progress.
- Develop structures for quarterly check-ins and mid-year progress reviews, ensuring staff receive meaningful, actionable feedback.
- Support the Chief Talent Officer with preparation to train managers and leaders on effective coaching and feedback strategies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Professional Development & Talent Growth
- Partner with department heads and school leaders to create personalized professional development plans aligned to each role’s competencies.
- Partner with the Chief Talent Officer on the design and rollout of structured feedback cycles, including peer-to-peer and upward feedback mechanisms.
- Collaborate with the Talent Team on the launching of career pathways and leadership pipelines, ensuring high-potential staff have opportunities for growth.
Performance Evaluation & Recognition
- Refine and formalize RePublic’s performance evaluation process, ensuring it is fair, transparent, and action-oriented.
- Partner with school and network leaders to ensure that performance evaluations are rooted in evidence-based practices and linked to growth and recognition.
- Alongside the CTO and CFO, design and launch a recognition & rewards program that celebrates high-impact educators and staff.
Data & Continuous Improvement
- Refine and manage performance dashboards that track key talent metrics, including goal progress, feedback trends, and evaluation outcomes.
- Regularly analyze performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improving staff retention and engagement.
- Gather stakeholder feedback and iterate on performance management systems to ensure they are effective, inclusive, and aligned with RePublic’s core values.

Skills & Experience
- 1 years of experience in talent management, human resources, leadership development, data analyst, project management, or performance management (K-12 education experience preferred).
- Strong project management skills, with experience implementing network- or organization-wide initiatives.
- Proficiency in data analysis, with the ability to track, interpret, and act on key performance metrics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with leaders and staff at all levels.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, balancing long-term strategy with day-to-day execution.
