POSITION SUMMARY: The Operations Manager Accelerated Program (OMAP) is a full time 18-month development program that provides on-the-job training and formal learning through a structured sequence of tasks designed to expose you to operations within the Company. While working through the three units of the program, you (the Operations Manager Accelerated Trainee) will learn the fundamentals of the business; develop your leadership skills in a fast-paced position; and establish close working relationships with executives, managers, employees and customers. - PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receives instruction in subjects related to the rotational experience.
- Attends trainings, watches guest speakers, and creates projects and/or oral presentations.
- Work in different functions to learn the business, including operations, finance, sales, maintenance, and post collections.
- Adheres to guidelines of the formal training program.
- Participates in periodic evaluations.
- Works with other managers to plan and direct the work of the organization.
- Demonstrates a commitment to safety and compliance. Lead operations to ensure compliance with all standards including environmental, operating, regulatory, safety, accounting and ethics.
- Participates in managing a large staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, performance management; develop supervisory goals and objectives; and effective resolution of safety issues and claims.
- Uses Company systems to analyze sales, gross profit and inventory activity.
- Implements and executes plans to complement the business unit’s strategic and operating plan; champion the execution of tactical initiatives within the business unit to maximize the customer experience, growth and durability, while optimizing profitability.
- Works with management to develop and implement actions that protect Company assets and profitability.
- Builds and maintains strong and effective relationships with relevant government, community and environmental groups.
- Learns and demonstrates the leadership characteristics that support the Republic Way.
