Truck Fleet Operations Manager

Company Overview:

We are a family-owned business with a strong presence in the truck sales industry, operating from our Indiana location. Our fleet is growing rapidly, consisting of around 150 spotter trucks, making this an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team.

Job Description:

This role focuses on managing our lease and rental truck fleet without any driver responsibilities. We have implemented electronic trackers on nearly all our vehicles to streamline tracking and maintenance processes.

Responsibilities:

- Make sales calls to existing and potential new customers to grow our rental and lease business

- Ensure rent/lease agreements are signed and properly documented

- Arrange towing services to and from customer sites

- Respond to breakdowns, coordinate vendor repairs, and ensure timely resolution

- Oversee maintenance and repairs for all fleet vehicles

- Work with our internal shop to bill customers for damages and process claims efficiently

- Coordinate with our repair shop to prepare vehicles for re-rental or resale

Qualifications:

- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities

- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and drive productivity

- Ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and make informed decisions

- Attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and data integrity

- Knowledge of Class 8 vehicles and their operational requirements

Schedule and Location:

- Full-time position requiring a standard 10-hour shift schedule

- On-call duties may be required occasionally
