Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new client relationships and expanding existing accounts within the light industrial staffing sector. This position will play a critical role in our strategic expansion plans across our current service areas of New York and New Jersey, with potential for growth into additional regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire new clients in the light industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics sectors
- Expand business with existing clients by identifying additional staffing needs and opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target companies
- Conduct client needs assessments and develop staffing solutions that meet their requirements
- Collaborate with recruiting teams to ensure successful client-candidate matches
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients
- Represent our company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities
- Achieve or exceed established sales targets and KPIs
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in our CRM system
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of proven success in business development or sales within the staffing industry, specifically light industrial staffing (MUST HAVE light industrial experience)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics operations and staffing needs
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships at multiple organizational levels
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated with a track record of achieving sales targets
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the region (up to 50%)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
