Job Title: Security Specialist
12 months assignment in the Fort Wayne, IN
They would be looking for 2 (12 hour shifts) or 3 (8 hour shifts) for each location.
Basic info
When dispatched to the work site they would get out of their vehicle (no matter the weather, the property/location) and check the building by walking the perimeter to ensure doors were locked, no broken glass, nothing amiss. If any issues are identified they will contact the proper authorities and report back to dispatch. If nothing is found, they would report back to dispatch. Types of buildings could include pawn shops and jewelry stores.
The person would be “on call” during their shift hours. They may be sitting at home watching TV their entire shift, but they would be required to be at the site within 30 minutes of any call from dispatch. (keep this in mind when/if you source candidates down the road).
They will drive their own vehicle. No mileage reimbursement since the majority of the time they are already being paid to sit at home waiting on a call.
The position is staffed 24 hours a day. Looking for 2 people to maybe work 12-hour shifts (AM/PM) or 3 people to work 3 8 hour shifts (AM/PM/overnight). We may need additional, but this would be the minimum.
This is an unarmed role.
Requirements
Previous security guard experience highly desired.
Dependability / Stable – this must be demonstrated in past work history
Reliable – this must be demonstrated in past work history.
Successfully pass the background investigation and drug screen.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
